Stove People:
I know there have been discussions on this board of the amount of BTUs these stoves put out. I cannot recall now what they were. What I need to know, what are the BTUs the burners put out? and Has anyone tried to make beer on the stove top of a Chambers Stove? Specifically, has anyone boiled more than 7 gallons of liquid on a Chambers a stove top?
thanks
Frank

Hi Frank,
I don't drink, so I have no idea about making beer on a Chambers, but your C-series Service Manual, Revised Edition has the BTU ratings for the burners in the back of it.

Regular burners are a supposed to put out 9000 BTU. JUst in case you ever need to know the other outputs, the oven is rated at 21000 BTU, and the broiler is 15000 BTU.
When you do actually get to boiling that volume of liquid, let us all know how it goes. My husband brews beer, too.

Beer, Who Said Beer.
At One time I used to brew beer, but I had to give
it up. I had three teen-aged sons and they kept
stealing it. That didn't bother me as much as
not bringing my bottles back. Recappable bottles
are hard to come by.
My wife didn't go for the boys getting in the
beer so I gave it up. When Moma is not happy nobody
is happy.
Just put your pot on full of water. Get some of the
last batch of beer. Crank up the fire Calculate
the number of beers it takes to git her to boil.
Be sure to keep an accurate count of the beer it
took for the water to boil. You may want to turn
the fire down.
If I had not quit everything I would volunteer
to sample it for you, and help watch the fire.
